Serafina Belletini

Serafina Belletini, mezzo-soprano, has been praised for her rich, vibrant tone, as well as her acting prowess.

Notable roles include Baba in The Medium, Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, Gertrude in Roméo et Juliette, Ruth in Dark Sisters, The Witch in Hänsel und Gretel, Genèvieve in Impressions de Pelléas, and Sister Mathilde in Dialogues of the Carmelites. This winter, she was an Apprentice Artist at Sarasota Opera, where she covered the roles of Mamma Lucia in Cavalleria rusticana and Marcellina in Le nozze di Figaro.

She was recently named as a Superfinalist in Opera Connecticut’s American Opera Idol Competition, where she received the President’s Award. She completed her academic training at Wayne State University (BM) and Temple University (MM).
